Numatic International Limited is the cleaning equipment manufacturer famous for the Henry vacuum cleaner with the face and we are seeking a new Export Sales Development Manager. You will be working as part of the small but experienced Export Sales Team with responsibility for your own workload, and assisting the Export Sales Manager. You will benefit from the wide range of experience that already exists within the team as you help grow the skill sets of the Sales Executives to be able to operate with best practice, with the goal to increase sales and interaction with the Distributor Network.

As our Export Sales Development Manager you will be:

  • Managing the Export Sales Executives, conducting regular one2one meetings with each team member, driving the management of customer expectations.
  • Developing the Sales Team skills and capabilities.
  • Ensure Best Practice is utilised in all our Export Territories.
  • Developing new markets for the Export business.
  • Promoting and managing customer profiling, market analysis of existing distribution partners.
  • Carrying out performance analysis and margin reviews per Export Distributor, forming action plans for the Sales Executives to follow up.
  • Managing the creation of sales aids and presentations for use by the team, in cooperation with the Marketing & Media team.
  • Developing and managing periodic marketing activity for the Export territories with the Marketing & Media team.
  • Making overseas trips accompanying the Export Sales Executives as and when required.
  • Working closely with the Export Sales Manager to ensure the team are fully equipped and able to carry out their roles.
  • Coordinating new product launch packs working with the Product Managers and Export Sales Manager to ensure a successful roll out to the Sales Executives and to their Distributors.
  • Assisting with any customer visits to the main factory as required.

Your experience should include:

  • Previous personnel management experience.
  • International exposure highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel overseas.
  • Developing new market experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Working with distribution partners, preferably overseas.
  • Sound skill set in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Presentation and demonstration skills.

This role is based at our Head Office site in Chard, which nestles in a rural corner of Somerset, the seventh largest county in the UK.
