Due to maternity cover, our client is looking for someone who has specific supply chain/head office inventory/stock/supplier experience to help on a 12 month contract.

 

Role Overview:

Any customer solution delivered is supported on a day to day basis by our internal support team which is structured into four distinct tiers. The supply chain logistics team plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of consumables and parts to our customers and technicians to maintain an exceptional managed print service.

The Supply Chain Administrator/Planner will be responsible for the day to day tasks within the Parts Administration Team to ensure parts and consumable items are delivered within the agreed service levels, minimise any problems or delays incurred through the ordering process and the handling of both customer and internal escalations,

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key contact for the logistics department for all queries and escalations.
  • Responsible for communicating and liaising with suppliers and warehouse to ensure efficient deliveries.
  • Management of exceptions such as internal stock issues between the systems.
  • Day-to-day supplier interface, ownership of any service issues and related service improvement initiatives.
  • Providing full administrative support, raising POs, ordering supplies, management of outgoing stock activity.
  • Manage day-to-day activities to optimise the department’s efficiency.
  • Analysis of supply chain performance.
  • Key interface with the Supply Chain Manager for all supply chain activity.
  • Responsible for set up, administration and ongoing maintenance of all stock codes, supersessions and delivery sequences.
  • Attend monthly supplier meetings as and when required.
  • Management of back order stock situation and responsible for sourcing out of stock items where appropriate.

 

Essential skills:

  • Previous supply chain knowledge.
  • Strong customer focus with the desire to provide an exceptional experience
  • Excellent attitude and communication skills, at both a customer and colleague level.
  • Good knowledge and understanding in the use of desktop software.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Good time management skills with the capability to work independently.
  • Ability and willingness to learn, with a desire to work and develop in an internal/external customer facing support role, within a fast paced dynamic team.
  • Good written documentation skills.
  • Experience of issue ownership coupled with strong stakeholder communication.
