An excellent global Head of Professional Services Procurement role in a FTSE 100 business group that is going through a transformative procurement journey. This role will be the global lead of commercial professional services procurement and will lead the strategic vision for the business at an exciting time of growth.

My client is a leading marketing, media, events company based out of central London with a global footprint. They are an established business who are acquisitive in nature and are looking to develop a best in class procurement function which will add real value to the business in terms of cost reduction and true value add as a procurement business partners.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Head of Professional Services Procurement are:-

  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and increase value to the business by leveraging spend across Divisions.
  • Collaborates across the different lines of business to develop long-term project pipelines
  • Identifies and manages cross functional business teams to deliver category specific savings
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and advisor to the business. Builds a platform as a centre of excellence for Professional Services.
  • Establishes strong buy in from senior business leadership and builds trust around the organisation to position Procurement at the forefront of strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with Procurement Operations team to embed best practice in the business
  • Review overall effectiveness of strategies and proactively looks for opportunities to continuously improve
  • Supports the establishment of the group Procurement function and acts as a mentor to other member of the group.

Profile

The successful Head of Professional Services Procurement will:-

  • Experienced procurement professional with extensive experience of delivering change whilst still acting in a collaborative and positive way

  • A depth of experience working in the professional services category - working across sub-categories like legal, audit, audit, consultancy etc
  • Uses a consultative approach to Procurement activities, capable of managing ambiguity
  • Demonstrable success in driving strategies to completion
  • Comfortable setting and working to savings targets
  • Creativity to seek non-traditional approaches to procurement challenges
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable interacting with and influencing senior leadership up to C-Level
  • Project Management skills
  • Experience in Procurement Transformation
