Marketing EMEA Procurement Lead

One of the largest Professional Services companies in the world has created a new position for an EMEA Procurement Category Manager, with Marketing category experience, to take on a challenging role in their Corporate Procurement function.

You will commercially manage several EMEA Marketing procurement projects across a wide range of sub-categories including digital, branding, advertising, PR, multiple agency relationships, etc.   This role will suit someone that likes variety and strategic projects and can spot opportunities for Procurement to be involved.   

Responsibilities:

• Deliver Marketing category strategies across a wide range of spend – current spend is around £50m – with key regions including the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Poland
• Influence, educate and on-board multiple Marketing stakeholders, up to CMO level, by using your personality and contributing to the overall business planning
• Agree KPIs and SLAs for a range of Marketing contracts
• Plan and deliver commercial negotiations
• Support the implementation of good practice procurement practices
• Be a key user of e-auctions
• Manage suppliers  

Keys and experience required:

• A graduate calibre Procurement professional with experience in the Marketing category gained in an international company
• Self-motivated, level-headed and positive approach
• A passion, and experience in, driving best practice procurement transformation
• Able to develop strategy and have the procurement skills to deliver it
• A track record of delivering and recording savings and service targets is imperative
• Highly developed communication skills and a proven track record of managing and collaborating with, and influencing, senior stakeholder relationships internally and externally
• Flexibility to think strategically but have a hands on, pragmatic approach
