Analyst/Junior Consultant - 3rd Party Risk Management

The company:
A rapidly growing Management Consultancy specialising in helping organisations identify and manage risk through their third party supply chain and vendor relationships.  Established in 2016, the company works with a number of blue-chip organisations, including Financial Services and FMCG across the UK, to ensure that they meet relevant legal and regulatory obligations, extract value from third party and vendor relationships and improve delivery of services to their customers.

The opportunity:
They have created a brand new role for an ambitious Analyst to join their team and work closely with the Consultants on client sites.
Flexible UK location but must be prepared to do some UK travel.

Responsibilities:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and determined Analyst to develop their career and ultimately step up into a Consultant role as well as learn about third party and vendor risk management.
• Acquire, process and share data from various sources in an organised and logical manner using Excel and SharePoint and converting data into management information (MI);
• Help to develop and implement effective KPIs and tracking systems, then build/automate reports to monitor them on an ongoing basis;
• Provide business analysis support to senior Consultants and Managers;
• Able to act as a point of escalation for all analysis activities, strategic and portfolio level escalation of risks, issues and dependencies;
• Keep up to date and apply industry best practice, quality standards and innovative thinking, foster knowledge sharing and assurance to provide solutions for complex/ significant business or specialist issues/ problems where no precedent may exist;
• Able to work with Executive and key senior stakeholders to help build common understanding of commercial decisions and their impacts, underpinning the achievement of benefits and right business outcomes from programmes.

Skills and experience required:
• Degree calibre Analyst with at least 18 months+ industry experience and with advanced proficiency in analytical tools, especially Excel
• An understanding, or experience in risk management, is an advantage
• Able to collect, validate and analyse data to find conclusions, solving problems as they occur
• Able to present findings in an understandable form, writing or speaking clearly while communicating complex ideas to people across functions
• Able to quickly develop positive relationships with stakeholders to improve data gathering, and influence based on findings.
• Effective time management and/or project management skills to balance multiple and competing priorities
• Able to critically assess the numbers, trends and data and continuously review processes. Naturally curious and interested in new technologies and trends.
