Due to exciting rapid business growth and increased commercial activity the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) isseeking a Senior Commercial Manager to provide a proactive and professional supplier and contract management service across CMA.

Playing a key role in a small but busy commercial team delivering procurement and contract management functions across the CMA, you will work on the placement and management of contracts across a variety of spend categories, including People Services, Technology, Corporate, Buildings and Market Research. It is an exciting opportunity to shape commercial business in the CMA and deliver marketplace insight and expertise.

The role will involve the development of sourcing and procurement strategies in line with Government Commercial Function professional standards and the management of key suppliers, providing an end to end commercial perspective. You will also manage CMA’s key operational relationships, securing continuous improvement and cost reduction whilst minimising operational risk.

You will need to be professionally qualified (MCIPS) with strong knowledge and experience of commercial contracting and supplier management with experience and understanding of public procurement.
