Assistant Vice President Operational Risk

£60K + Bonus + Bens

A top tier global Corporate Bank is now hiring for their Operational Risk team in the London office.

We are seeking experienced Operational Risk professionals with a banking or FS background to fit this post.

Some of the Key Job responsibilities are:

  • Supporting the continuous development of the operational risk management framework by providing thought leadership and innovation
  • Support the team with regular update and maintenance of Operational Risk policies and procedures.
  • Execution of the collection of internal loss data / risk events, root cause analysis and creation of risk mitigation plans.
  • Execution of the collection and analysis of external loss data / risk events and the outputs from the Operational risk processes.
  • Execution of the regular Operational Risk scenario assessments across the Bank, analyse and report results, monitor risk mitigation actions.
  • Support the ongoing development and production of operational risk reporting to risk committees and management.
  • Support the collection, monitoring and/or calculation of Operational Risk metrics including Key Risk Indicators and Risk Tolerances.
  • Support the team with the ongoing embedding of the Operational Risk framework within the Bank. Support the development of operational risk awareness programmes, documentation and training material and deliver training to the business as required.
  • Conduct the update of the Bank’s Risk Register; ensure regular controls assurance / oversight. Support the new product process by supporting and facing off to the business and functions and providing facilitation and challenge accordingly.

Experience Required

  • Experience/understanding of operational risk management
  • Previous experience of developing Operational Risk frameworks, policies and procedures
  • Financial services product knowledge
  • Relationship management experience
