The Role

As operations manager, you’ll manage all aspects of their lunch delivery operations. You will recruit, train and manage staff and lead by example and be passionate about customer service. Responsible for guiding and developing your team to serve the best in food and drinks, as operations manager you’ll also efficiently handle the administrative side of the business. When they launch their first shop (in 2019), you will provide operations leadership, and you will be a driving force behind key operations decisions that affect the entire organisation.

The ideal candidate:

• Must have gained management skills in either a retail, hospitality or leisure environment
• Must be a real people-person, always accessible and hugely passionate when it comes to recruiting, developing and empowering your team
• The best candidates will thrive in a start-up environment, have a passion for food and using technology to disrupt the current food landscape, and be incredibly intellectually curious, logical, creative, and willing to learn. You will work closely with their founder
• Committed to the needs of the customer
• You must be an adaptable and a quick thinker prepared to make decisions
• Must have previous experience in operating a retail business ideally in a restaurant, bar or coffee shop arena
• Excellent command of English with a good telephone manner
• Efficient and well organised with the ability to use own initiative
• Capable of working under extreme pressure with a calm approach
• Able to plan and prioritize
• A good team leader with plenty of self-motivation
