Category Manager - £45-55,000 - Liverpool/Manchester

After a record year this leading retailer are seeking to add a procurement category manager to their award-winning procurement team. Building on the successes of last year the role will require the strategic planning and development of category strategy as well as management of high-level procurement executives.

Category Manager - Procurement Job Profile:

• Successful management of supplier relationships to ensure key big-name suppliers are delivering with mitigated risk and outstanding quality
• Ensuring suppliers are compliant with company expectations of corporate responsibility
• Working with important stakeholders to ensure business needs are met and that procurement remains an important part of the company's business model
• Planning and developing both short and long term category strategy

Category Manager - Procurement Requirements:

• Battle hardened stake holder management skills to deal professionally with senior procurement executives
• Experience identifying and implementing cost saving procedures in the procurement process through strong analytical skills
• Engagement with the complete procurement life cycle from sourcing to delivery
• Degree (2:1 and above)
• CIPS (Preferred but not essential)
