An exciting opportunity has arisen with a manufacturing company to become a Trainee Purchasing Analyst. Working in a team of 3 you will work closely with the Purchasing Director and 2 Managers top of their game in a fun but hardworking environment.
Looking for someone who is organised and who loves analysing large sets of data to spot opportunities to increase profit. If you love a mix between analysing data and being hands on and making sure projects to come in on time and on budget, then this is a perfect mix.
Responsibilities:
- Working with Demand Planning - forecasts/planning/ managing stock
- Working with Finance on pricing models
- Leasing with companies/agencies
- Managing and negotiating costs
- Market research
- Working directly with suppliers to source
- Working with brand managers or their agencies on agreeing finished product
- Identify, scope and execute strategic price process improvement projects.
- Proactively communicate metrics and project objectives, status, barriers and results to all levels of the organization.
- Work with cross functional teams to define floor, target and ceiling pricing for project job components.
- Scope the issue then define, build and implement solution to measure price effectively.
Requirements
- Must have a 2:1 or above in Business / Accountancy / Maths / Economics
- Good Excel skills being able to do Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, formulas
- The tenacity to makes sure deadlines are met, even getting involved in other department if need be.
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational ability
