Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting an SME business that are undertaking a new strategy and are aiming to deliver a new operation that's driving value and risk management across all areas of the business.
Seeking a Procurement Manager to join the business to effectively set up a purchasing function. With investment being made into a new MRP/ERP system this role will support the change management program across the business to modernise the supply chain operation.
In Leeds/Bradford area.
Duties:
*Develop a robust procurement function that's aligned to the whole organisation incorporating the international supply chain
*Develop and influence all stakeholders across the organisation
*Show emotional and business intelligence for the wider political context to bring about inclusion and drive procurement initiatives
*Undertake review on processes, systems, policy and procurement activities
*Undertake review on order fulfilment, planning, expediting, inventory management
In the appointment of a new Procurement Manager, our understanding is that we are looking for an individual who has the following:
*The proven ability to develop a procurement function
*The proven ability to deliver an effective procurement strategy incorporating all stakeholders
*A good people leader
*A deep understanding of the numbers and key drivers in organisations to ensure the right commercial decisions are made
*Successful change management experience, with an emphasis on people and leading individuals through change
*Capable of creating and defining a plan to implement that's inclusive to all stakeholders
*Capable of personal engagement and input when necessary to lead complex and challenging procurement activity
*Capable of ensuring the function is operating cohesively
Salary:
£40,000 - £45,000
