Senior Transport Shift Manager (Ambient, Chilled & Frozen) in Coventry.

Are you a Senior Transport Shift Manager experienced within Chilled, Frozen, Ambient and/or FMCG distribution? The opening of a c200,000 sq ft distribution centre this November in Coventry was the result of continued organic growth and will support this leading 3PL's customer's ever-expanding network of operations. Now could be the perfect time for you to consider a positive career change and manage transport operations on behalf of one of the World's most iconic brands.

You will be instrumental in managing this busy 24/7 FMCG transport operation by providing support to the Transport Operations Manager, Transport Shift Managers and wider team.

Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager you will oversee the smooth day to day running of the Transport Operation including fleet, productivity, process, continuous improvement, health & safety, training, SLA's and staff related issues. You will lead your team of Shift Managers and have a positive influence to ensure that performance within the operation achieves the agreed service levels. You will agree on set priorities for your teams, ensuring a balance between day to day delivery, longer-term planning and key operational projects.

You will take a lead customer service related area's, dealing with issues/queries, report management, conducting data/performance analysis and KPI's. You will also plan, manage and control labour usage to achieve budge productivity levels and financial spend.

In order to progress we are looking for individuals that can demonstrate expertise in fast moving transport operations, preferably within the food arena. You will need to demonstrate how your leadership, planning and project experience has had a positive impact on delivering against SLA's, budget and initiatives. Experience within unionised environments and the use of Paragon would be an advantage. A CPC is a preferred but not essential.
