Job Title: Supplier Relationship Executive

Department: Energy Commercial

Reports to: Head of Suppliers

At MIC we value our supplier relationships as they our key to MIC delivering its marketing leading proposition. The supplier Management team is looking to hire a relationship executive to manage and deliver key aspects of the business’ Supplier Strategy.

The team works within the wider commercial energy team working delivering key products and changes with our vetted supplier panel to ensure the company can achieve their customer, profit and revenue targets. The ideal candidate will be hard working, looking to get a start in the commercial world willing to rise to any challenge presented to them and progress quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the Head of Suppliers to develop and execute Strategic and operational projects with suppliers that support revenue and EBITDA targets
  • Performance optimisation and execution in conjunction with the Head of Supplier strategy: ensure operational excellence across our supplier panel and develop and manage long term relationships which can help to ensure that the MIC vision and strategy is delivered.
  • Supplier Performance optimisation and execution: sales, RFC, LR, operational excellence
  • Develop and manage long term relationships which can help to ensure that the MIC vision and strategy is delivered.
  • Responsible for maintaining the standards of quality of products and sales / Implementation of safeguards and improved processes with Sales teams to ensure MIC adherence to supplier requirements.
  • Act as the interface between sales, service and commercial. Lead feedback sessions and escalate relevant information / Implement operational plans
  • Supplier Reporting: Prepare and present a monthly supplier Dashboard. Set up external performance tracking reports. Proactive planning + reactive recovery plans and execution / Benchmarking of supplier standards and pricing externally/ new supplier identification and onboarding
  • Responsible for creation and delivery of Energy Management Short Term plan to deliver budget in accordance with the Head of Supplier strategy / reporting on performance and acting as conduit between sales and commercial to ensure RFC adherence
  • Responsible for assisting finance with chasing and collecting outstanding revenue with suppliers

  • Negotiation/Effective Communication skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and manage challenging situations
  • Experience of building expertise and a passion within a defined subject
  • Used to Working in a fast paced environment which requires multi-tasking and delivering on tight deadlines
  • Analytical background
  • proficient use of Excel, tableau and PowerPoint
