Procurement Group Manager
Nottinghamshire County Council is the 10th largest local authority in England, spending approximately £600m each year on bought in goods and services. Like all local authorities it faces significant financial challenges and we are seeking a Group Manager to lead our Procurement team, who will make a major contribution to meeting this challenge head on.
By using your experience, leadership and commercial skills, you’ll identify new ways of driving out costs, helping shape local supply markets and deliver cost savings whilst at the same time continuing to deliver highly regarded local public services for our residents, businesses and partners.
This is an important role and we are looking for an individual who is looking to develop their career in a senior leadership post. You will be report to the Service Director – Finance, Infrastructure & Improvement and Section 151 Officer. Ideally you will have local authority or similar public sector experience but we are also interested in hearing from candidates with commercial sector experience who may be looking for a different career challenge.
