Hone your skills in a unique procurement environment

Join the procurement team at FCO Services, and you’ll get to build your knowledge across three broad category areas: Corporate and Professional Services, Estates and Security and Global Digital Technology. Your remit will include planning, demand management, tending and negotiation for a range of goods and services, many of them relating to the cutting-edge security work we do for government-level customers around the world.

Specific responsibilities will include carrying out supply market analysis, managing information and financial data, and helping to develop category strategies and formal sourcing plans. You will also be expected to provide a range of specialist procurement support and advice.

FCO Services is a public body working within a commercial environment, so it’s a unique and fascinating place for procurement professionals to develop their careers. We currently have opportunities for people to join us in three separate Assistant Category Manager roles.

Contribute your own ideas to our success

We believe in empowering our procurement professionals to think for themselves, so you’ll need to be able to use your initiative and juggle multiple tasks, while also coming up with your own ideas and innovations, and making effective decisions with management support. Some previous experience in procurement is essential, although you do not need a detailed understanding of procurement processes or any specific knowledge of the category areas involved. What is really important is that you can analyse data, and have the communication and interpersonal skills needed to build strong relationships with colleagues and others outside your team.
