Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems and test strips for use in both home and hospital settings. Our product portfolio includes Freestyle Libre, a recently launched system that is revolutionising how people with diabetes around the world monitor their glucose levels. We currently have an opportunity for a Supplier Relationship Manager to join our team based in Witney, Oxfordshire.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the relationship with FreeStyle Libre Third Party Manufacturer (TPM) and material suppliers. Areas of responsibility include; cost negotiation, contract development, capacity planning, project management, process development, cost and quality improvement plans and management of business reviews. You will support our TPM’s in supply chain activities, working alongside both them and their suppliers to ensure continued effective operations..

To be successful, you will be Degree qualified and ideally CIPS certified (Diploma level), or willing to obtain. You will bring a breadth of experience of supplier management experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment, and exposure to project management. You will be of an analytical nature, able to influence and negotiate, and proficient in the use of varying systems and MS Office packages. We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, highly organised, and excited about joining a team at the forefront of Diabetes Care innovation. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a small team, but interact on a wider business scale. You will need to have excellent communication and time management skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment. You will also be happy with travelling for business needs, some of which will require nights away from home.
