If so, this is your opportunity to join Arla's global Procurement team. Reporting to the Director for Business Services Procurement you will be based at our UK head office in Leeds.
Define our approach to purchasing business services globally
Your objective will be to set and drive the strategic procurement agenda for business services in Arla in close collaboration with your team colleagues in Denmark and Germany. In this way, you will play a key role in creating one clearly defined approach for selecting and collaborating with stakeholders - internally as well as externally, no matter where they are situated in the world. To this end, you will have close interaction with senior stakeholders in the global as well as local Business Groups in Arla Foods.
In detail, you will ensure that we have a competitive approach all the way from tender to signing of contract in a range of different areas, including Marketing, HR (professional services), Facilities, laboratory goods and company cars. Naturally, highest quality at lowest cost and lowest risk will be on top of your agenda during the entire process. Last but not least, you will focus on building a strong foundation for smooth and efficient collaborative processes and define how we proactively deal with challenges that might jeopardise compliance levels.
Strategic procurement experience with a flair for project management
Your background probably covers a commercial degree, supplemented with experience from a similar role within procurement. Experience purchasing business services will be considered an advantage, but not a requirement. Whether you have worked at an international company or perhaps a consultancy company, you have acquired strong project management skills driving processes, including negotiating and landing contract agreements.
You have equally sharpened your senior stakeholder management skills, and as a result you know exactly how to approach and secure buy-in from demanding and challenging stakeholders. This also calls for a sound business understanding, an open mindset and the ability to level your communication directly to your audience.
Possessing these qualities, you master the discipline of developing strong relations to different stakeholders across cultural borders. Personally, you recognize yourself as a self-propelled change agent with a strong drive and positive attitude, and you clearly get your energy from achieving your goals.
