Established in 1952 our client is a highly successful and well-established Italian furniture manufacturer, distributing high quality, design led loose furniture around the globe.

The companies’ UK subsidiary is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join their young and dynamic team,based in the companies’ flagship showroom in EC1 London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, including, but not limited to:

The control and organisation of all outgoing and incoming shipments and installations.

Controlling and supervising all furniture mock ups and associated quotations.

Liaising with both sales and sales support teams.

The management and organisation of all logistics operations associated with the showroom.

Maintaining and enhancing relationships with third party carriers.

Stock management, physical warehouse stock take and recording and maintenance of stock movements for the sales support and finance teams.

Control and administration of sales and purchase invoices and dealing with sales and purchase invoice queries.

Credit control.

The management and maintenance of the showroom.

Liaising with the companies landlord and appointed contractors and associated suppliers to the showroom.

Basic accounting tasks and management of cost centres to report to the management team.

Candidates must have the ability and aptitude to think on their feet, be adaptable, pro active and take ownership of the tasks required. It is essential that candidates have the ability to work within a small team.

The ideal candidate will have worked in either the furniture industry in a similar role. Experience of multi-tasking and working under pressure in a small business environment would be a distinct advantage.

While not essential, a grasp of Italian would be useful but this is not a pre requisite.
