A Multi Brand Fashion Distributor and Retailer based in central London is offering this exciting opportunity to join the business at a time of growth.
About the Role
The team are looking for someone ambitious who isn’t afraid of a challenge. This is a key role in a team where what you do has direct impact on the continued success of the business.

Role Accountabilities

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies for key categories/vendors.
• Overseeing day to day operations of the department ensuring key KPIs are met in respect of service levels, budgetary discipline and inventory management.
• Building capacity and developing skillsets in the team to grow departmental output.
• Monitoring inventory levels and forecasting demand for continuous replenishment of active SKUs.
• Continually reviewing products and suppliers to ensure the cost competitiveness of our products and to ensure the market price is current and on target.
• Maintaining strong working relationships with the company’s suppliers and cultivating relationships with new suppliers.
• Developing reports for benchmarking performance of the department, suppliers, product portfolio etc.
• Managing relationships with key internal and external stake holders in the supply chain and distribution network.
• Overseeing the company’s product development.
• Significant focus on business intelligence and market research. The candidate will have to quickly develop a sound understanding of our company’s competitors, their brands and the products in the market.
• Constant analysis of the market information is required to find the right place for new products.
• Being the driving force behind promotional activity and problem-solving ways to deal with slow moving stock before it becomes obsolete.
• Working with the design & communications department for the long-range planning of new products and their introduction into the market.

Ideal Candidate

• Must be highly organised and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly, plan, multi-task and work under pressure
• Good commercial awareness and able to use initiative and make recommendations to maximise sales
• Flexible and be able to meet deadlines and be team player and proactive and confident to self-manage their workload
• Analytical, with experience of preparing reports, handling data and understanding figures.
• Excellent MS Office skills: good with Excel (V-lookups and Pivot Tables)
• The successful candidate must have worked within a UK retailer in fashion or non-fashion with similar experience of at least 3 years
