We are currently looking to recruit a Fleet Engineer to join our Logistics operation. In this role you will report to the National Fleet General Manager and will nominally be based at our head office in Leeds. However, as the role will require frequent national travel, the location of the role can be flexible. As Fleet Engineer you will ensure that all LGV fleet are provided, maintained & meet or exceed the legal and minimum company compliance and safety standards with regards to compliance & suitability. You will be responsible for integrating all new technology and innovations with end users, internal customers and stakeholders across all sites nationally.

Responsibilities

Our Farmer owners and Customers know what they want and when they want it, which means we have to meet all of their expectations on a daily basis. Much of this responsibility lies with our fast moving distribution network and fleet to keep and deliver our products in a quality controlled environment. With responsibility for the national Inbound milk collection fleet covering the whole of the UK, you will carry out depot / supplier review meetings maintaining high standards on compliance, quality & EHS engineering issues. You will also ensure we are hitting our cost targets and take care of any technical or operational problems that come along, suggesting & implementing new and innovative ways to improve our efficiency across this vital part of the business.

Skills

Ideally coming from an engineering and distribution operations background with experience in LGV and MHE services and operations, with recognised industry qualifications. You will be able to provide exceptional service and will demonstrate strong negotiation and presentation skills. In addition you will have a full LGV licence and up to date knowledge on engineering practices. Finally you will also possess the willingness and flexibility to work in a collaborative way and will be able to see things from the customer's point of view.
