Interim Contract Specialist
1st Executive have been retained to manage the search for an Interim Contract Specialist for a FTSE 100 Financial Services organisation who are a leader within their field.
The organisation is undergoing a large change within their IT function resulting in an uplift in procurement activity and the requirement for this position.
The role is an initial 3 month contract, with extension opportunities, with the purpose of leading a review of contract agreements to ensure compliance and spot opportunities for cost efficiencies.
This will cover a broad range of categories and values and whilst 80% of the contracts relate to Software and Licence agreements there is a preference for a broad spectrum of category knowledge.
My client is looking for somebody with extensive contract knowledge and expertise who will be able to respond to supplier queries having reviewed the relevant contract, draft contract changes for review by Legal, and document key clauses which the business need to operate to.
There will be a high volume of queries which will need responding to so there is a need for someone to work efficiently, quickly and see ther value that can be driven by rigorous contract management.
Due to the nature of the work, knowledge of IT Category Management in Procurement is desirable but it is not a primary requirement.
