Contracts Manager - Indirect Services - Southampton - £45,000 - Public Sector - Housing Association

A public sector body is looking for an experienced procurement professional to join the team due to a growth in the departments remit. They are looking for someone who has experience across indirect services generally as well as being proficient in OJEU processes.

The Procurement Responsibilities of the Contracts Manager:

  • Creating and implementing smart sourcing strategies across all indirect categories
  • Liaising closely with external stakeholders to ensure that procurement has maximum buy in
  • Ensure full compliance with OJEU regulations
  • Identify key areas for saving and then deliver in those areas
  • Provide programme strategy planning, execution and delivery

The Key Skills and Qualification of the Contracts Manager:

  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fully versed in OJEU regulations
  • Relevant business qualifications e.g. CIPS
  • Generalist background
  • Public sector experience
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and influencing
