Role:

 

 * Developing and implementing a new commodity sourcing strategy, ensuring that suppliers are hitting 95% OTIF delivery.
 * Manage relationships with new and existing suppliers and ensure that they are conforming to appropriate quality standards for products and components - working collaboratively with underperforming suppliers to improve performance where possible.
 * Identify and engage with senior internal stakeholders to improve the profile of the procurement and Supply Chain functions. Influence senior stakeholders at site-level in the implementation of purchasing and supplier management best practice, demonstrating the value-add to the organisation.
 * Lead procurement improvement programmes across your key commodity areas as well as providing support to colleagues in procurement to ensure optimal capability, sustainability, quality and cost from suppliers.

 

Requirements:

 

 * Strategic Sourcing experience within a relevant industry sector such as Aerospace/Aviation, Defense, Automotive, Manufacturing, Production, Electronics, Medical Devices, etc
 * Knowledge of product and material procurement processes in a manufacturing environment.
 * Full end-to-end Supply Chain Management expertise, including the ability to work with key or underperforming suppliers to improve performance and value delivered.
 * Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, able to work with multiple stakeholders in a consultative process.

 

Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 + Benefits including Bonus, Healthcare, Pension.
