This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a blue-chip client and to work in a market-leading procurement team that invest heavily in their people, environment and culture. They are seeking a bright, dynamic individual to join their team to source, negotiate with and select suppliers within an agreed category range. 

Specific category knowledge will not be required, they will invest time to train you and are really looking for the right person to fit their business and can grow and develop their skills across a range of business categories, such as outsourcing contracts and IT, etc.

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager you will work autonomously, managing multiple work streams and will be critical in delivering managed risk, and ensuring the cost effective and efficient delivery of supply chain capability.

The successful candidate will have strong negotiation skills, with an ability to influence at senior management level. You will be required to forge and maintain relationships both internally and externally in particular driving clarity in business requirements and specifications and delivery timescales.

Responsibilities:	
•	Manage or facilitate the sourcing, selection and negotiation of suppliers
•	Ensure cost effective procurement is achieved for the supply of goods and services, utilising best professional / industry practice 
•	Negotiate appropriate contracts for category of responsibility
•	Contribute towards the Procurement department committed cost saving targets
•	Develops supply market knowledge for own categories
•	Identify opportunities to drive forward category sourcing plans and commercial strategies with internal business partners
•	Execute Procurement activities (selection and contracting) in accordance with Third Party Management policy, and ensuring internal compliance, for example, IRP policy
•	Produce high quality contractual documentation, collaborating with Legal in accordance with the Terms of Engagement, ensuring third party risk is appropriately managed for all suppliers within scope of role / category
•	Support adherence to P2P processes, etc
•	Fully engage in Procurement team activities in order to support the continuing professionalism and development of the team

•	CIPS part or fully Qualified
