Role:

In the role of Senior Buyer you will be responsible for the day to day procurement of both Sub Contracts and Materials for a number of key projects. This position is a delivery focused role with the duties including

 * Deliver an effective procurement solution to both the client and business
 * Manage the supply of goods/services across the business unit
 * Participate in strategic projects as required
 * Deliver better value supply chain across all categories
 * Work closely with Stakeholders/ Clients on all procurement activities
 * Tender management and bid support

The successful applicant will be a commercially focused procurement professional with a working knowledge/background from the Civil Engineering / Contracting / Rail industry. Ideally MCIPS qualified with an ambitious approach to their career development.

Working in the capacity of Senior Buyer/ Category Manager you will hold responsibility for a number of duties including -

 

 * Prepare monthly procurement reports
 * Liaise and visit suppliers as required
 * Influence and interact with key suppliers, clients and stakeholders
 * Negotiate and agree new/improved supplier agreements
 * Maintain supply chain &amp; procurement strategies in line with OpCo strategy

 

 

The successful applicant will ideally be MCIPS/CIPS qualified or working towards this qualification, with a dynamic forward thinking procurement professional with a track record of delivering significant savings across a wide spectrum of Hard FM Categories.

Main responsibilities:

Essential skills required:
• Fluent English
• Solid purchasing/ procurement experience
• Degree in Engineering or other technical qualification
• Experience in sourcing and purchasing or alternatively quality, process or project management
• Good technical knowledge in multi technologies like electronics, plastics, castings or electro-mechanics
• Analytical thinking and result orientation
• Good communication skills and assertiveness
• Willingness to travel
• Experience with electronics
• Automotive and vehicle manufacturing experience or similar

Desirable
• Fluent Dutch or German
