• Maintain ongoing relationships with the business and incumbent suppliers in the sub category and ensure that contracts are adequately managed by Procurement, technical and operational staff alike
• Lead in commercial and contractual negotiations with third party suppliers in respect of pricing, service levels, key performance indicators and all other terms of trading.
• Ensure that all activity untaken has full governance and adherence to the Sourcing Management Framework (SMF) and Procurement, policies and procedures and FSA regulation.
• Assist in the design, development and implementation of commercial policy, processes, and methods appropriate to the Category so as to provide excellent customer service. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Fully qualified CIPS and relevant experience. 
• Experience in a similar role in a large complex organisation.
• A proven track record delivering against savings targets and service improvements
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• A proven track record in building and sustaining relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.
• Experience of implementing and managing contracts for supply of services including outsources.
• Experience in undertaking software negotiations.

Key Responsibilities
- Management of key supplier contracts, ensuring all business changes are supported by external vendors through account development and management.
- Ensure SRM is represented and recognised across all business units.

The Person
• Extensive commercial experience gained from a supplier/ vendor management, category management, or business development background
• Experience of managing large supplier contracts in complex business environments 
• Able to demonstrate a track record of identifying opportunities for increased performance and driving these through to completion
• Experience of working within a specialist team delivering against demanding individual and team performance targets
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior management teams
• Demonstrate success in a pressured commercial environment
• Financial Services or a Technology background
