Category Manager

Shore recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Category Manager

Category Manager Responsibilities include:

• Developing product requirements and roadmaps
• Leading product developers and coordinating with project managers, compliance, brand licensing and other teams
• Incorporating feedback and input from customers, partners and in-house teams on product strategy and finding ways to expand product market reach

Job Brief

We are looking for a Category Manager to direct product development and ensure high return on investment. You’ll translate ideas into strategy and features and follow product development from start to finish.

To succeed in this role, you should be a perceptive and creative leader and a reliable problem-solver. If you’re also confident and have a knack for knowing what ideas will and won’t work, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision
• Collect and analyse feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products
• Work with management to create product plans and roadmaps
• Lead product developers and coordinate cross-functional teams
• Produce and review product requirements documents
• Write detailed specifications for products across all of our categories
• Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
• Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision
• Suggest ways to track product use and impact on end users

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Category Manager, Product Manager or similar role
• Experience in product lifecycle management
• Organisational abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Creative thinking skills

Applicant profile

A highly focused and analytical manager, working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will be highly organised, have strong communication skills and will have proven experience building relationships with a variety of stakeholders. They will have an integral role assisting the Product Developers to safe-guard our product development and manufacturing processes, customers and partners. The role will include the requirement for exceptional line management and staff development, to drive the business into the future. A passion for exceptional quality and clear simplified, efficient processes to maximise meeting the high expectations of our customers.
