The role as Logistics Administrator - 12 Months Contract is to coordinate with the relevant forwarding agents, shipping lines and other 3PL partners to ensure the effective movement of goods across various sites

Description

The role of Logistics Administrator is to cover a maternity contract for 12 months.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

Inbound & Outbound Logistics:

  • Co-ordinate all import and export related activity with authorities and suppliers in all relevant territories and countries, championing inbound visibility tools and coordinating with planning teams on a regular basis
  • Checking and coding of import related invoices, passing them onto Finance (and/or Customer Service for Direct Shipments) in a timely manner
  • Maintain effective communication flows with shipping lines and forwarding agents to ensure all consignments for are delivered in the most cost effective manner, ensuring that:
    • Records of shipments and physical stock movements including the associated costs are recorded
    • Costs from lines and agents are continually benchmarked against others and industry standards
    • Correct documentation is provided to the relevant parties and copies are retained by ABWF as necessary
  • Maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import laws, procedures, tariffs, duties, licences and restrictions
  • Cross-check Customs declarations made on our behalf
  • Complete Intrastat reports
  • MonitorKPIsfor3PLs
    • Freight Forwarders
    • DHL
    • Bests
    • Others as necessary
  • Provide excellent customer service to ABWFs internal customers ensuring an efficient flow of accurate information, including market information and predictions for shipping lines and forwarding agents
  • Provide periodic information to Finance on current stock in transit status
  • Coordinate the inbound scheduling of far east, UK and EU supply, using live track and trace software.

Logistics Reporting

  • Own and improve the Cost to Serve Period Reporting process
  • Champion this tool and its use within ABWF

Inventory Control:

  • Assist and deputise for the Inventory Process Manager in maintaining accurate inventory data records, in investigating discrepancies and credit claim

Other

  • Take an active part in Continuous Improvement Activities
  • Work with the Logistics Co-ordinate, suppliers and other departments to drive efficiency improvements throughout the supply chain

This is a full time role Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm

Profile

To be successful with your application for Logistics Administrator you will have previous experience within a similar role and have import/export experience.

You will also be a great team player and be pro active and use your own initiative when required along with:

  • Good working knowledge of various Supply Chain functions within an FMCG Environment
  • Numerical and analytical skills
  • Communication skills and the ability to respectfully challenge service providers
  • System skills including experience of Microsoft Excel, Warehouse Management and Inventory Management systems
  • Works well under pressure and is able to deliver to deadlines
  • Self-sufficient, possessing a good level of initiative and organisational skills
