Operations Manager - Role and Responsibilities - Production Manager / Lean Manufacturing / Furniture Production / Joinery
- Manage a production floor dealing with 50+ employees with a focus on KPIs
- To implement new lean principles to create a more efficient production process (Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, Value Stream mapping, etc)
- Keep an organised flow of production to improve OTIF and customer satisfaction
- Liaise with the senior management team as the Operations Manager to look a new ways of improving the business
- Communicate with dealers and supplier to ensure materials and stock are at the right levels
- Ensure the supply chain and logistics function of the business are working efficiently
Operations Manager - Skills and Abilities - Production Manager / Lean Manufacturing / Furniture Production / Joinery
- Experience within an operations management role with a good understanding of logistics as well as production
- A good understanding of the furniture manufacturing industry is highly beneficial with knowledge of joinery products
- Technical knowledge of production and manufacturing to teach shop floor staff and create an improved culture
- Evidence of implementing lean manufacturing tools to reduce waste, improve efficiency and increase productivity
