Job Details

Based in the heart of Central London, this iconic brand is seeking a Head of Procurement to work directly with the CFO and owners to construct a buying strategy and take the business global. Operating out of its luxurious offices in Central London, the Head of Procurement will work in one of London’s most iconic and best-loved hospitality businesses, helping to expand its interests globally. This position was born from the Group’s expansion and growth, with the company now in a position to bring aboard a strategic, heavy hitter, with multi-site experience, and someone who can put together a robust buying strategy to present to the board. This business is driven by a deeply-held set of central values which are reflected in all they do and will, thus, need someone with not only curiosity and hungriness, but also the integrity to be an ambassador for the brand itself.

Managing a small team and a core spend of £25m, the Head of Procurement will need to be a strong leader as well as an accomplished procurement professional with exceptional negotiation skills and industry acumen. However, you will also need to be robust and resilient due to challenges and complexity of the role, balancing quality and uniqueness with cost and logic. Food-and-beverage experience is a must as well as solid industry experience, operating in the high-end, hospitality sector. 

Essential knowledge and experience:

  • Food and beverage background
  • Multi-site, hard and soft FM experience
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing a buying strategy
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to influence
  • Drive and motivation to succeed, both personally and as a business
  • Minimum of two years previous purchasing experience in a high-volume, quality hospitality business
  • Excellent financial acumen
  • Capable of setting and adhering to budgets
  • Excellent commercial awareness, communication skills and negotiation skills
  • Experience in man-management
