As a result of rapid expansion, Europe's leading food manufacturer is looking for a confident food buyer to step into a newly created buyer position on the procurement team. Having acquired two reputable household brands, my client is now the leading organisation within food manufacturing.

As a buyer your role with consist of sourcing activities across the vegetable's category. You will be a part of an industry leading team, working collaboratively with other members of the organisation to control a £50m spend across the group. With their reputation for professional development unrivalled, this is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to learn from seasoned professionals and have the tools and training to progress into a senior position as the organisation continues through their period of substantial growth.

As a Buyer (vegetables), you will be responsible for:

• The end to end procurement process across the vegetable's categories, the largest area of direct spend.
• Assist in the implementation of strategic procurement processes to deliver significant cost savings to the organisation
• Work closely with senior managers to understand and influence stakeholders

As a Buyer (vegetables), you will have:

• Experience working across direct procurement, with experience in food buying beneficial
• End to end procurement experience is essential
• Degree + CIPS beneficial
