Position: Divisional Operations Manager (Facilities Management-Retail Sector)

Location: Home base covering South East to be based in Swindon / Reading / Oxford area

Salary: Circa £70,000 basic plus 30% bonus plus car or £10,000 car allowance plus Family Private Medical, Pension, Laptop and Mobile.

An outstanding opportunity has arisen within a large and dynamic Facilities Management company, who continue to enjoy sustained growth with its impressive retail multi-site client base.

As a result of a significant new contract with a blue-chip retail client , we are now embarking on an important recruitment exercise for our client.

This will result in the appointment of a high-profile Divisional Operations Manager who will assume responsibility for operational and client management across a number of retail sites.

Based from home, your background will ideally be from multi-site retail operations/facilities management/engineering and you will be comfortable working with KPI’S Service level agreements, financial budgets and team/individual performance targets.

You will be a strong operator with a high level of client management expertise and a dynamic leader who knows how to get the best out of people in a dynamic business environment where delivering service excellence tops the agenda.

You will have excellent communication skills, be able to influence at all levels in the organisation and more importantly be able to take responsibility for your own decisions.

The Divisional Operations Manager will be responsible for the services provided to a large number of retail stores in an agreed area.

The candidate will have full responsibility for operating costs, operational delivery and maintaining excellent relations with the client at both store, operational and regional levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • The leadership and management of a Divisional Operations team of colleagues which include Area FM Managers, Engineers, Cleaning Managers and Operatives and Specialist Functions.
  • The full responsibility for the delivery of key KPI’s which relate to cost, service and quality targets.
  • The full accountability for the quality and progression of relationships with the client.
  • Leadership and motivation of people throughout the designated area.

Candidates background & experience:

  • Multi-site management experience of cleaning essential & hard FM
  • Dynamic leadership
  • budget management
  • Management of major accounts with proven record of delivery
  • Operations/Account management role in a multi-site environment
  • Support services, retail, leisure/hospitality services or facilitates management background
  • A "hands-on can-do style". Results orientated who can make things happen and deliver
  • Experience of delivering service to KPI’s
  • Honest and open and easy to communicate with
  • Comfortable working without close supervision
  • Client management
