Job Description
Title: HR Operations Manager
Salary - £55000
An exciting new role has opened within a Kings Cross based Architectural Company.
An award winning British architecture studio is seeking a highly experienced HR Manager to join the team and support the Head of People in overseeing the UK HR operations. The successful HR Ops Manager will have at least five years experience, and global mobility experience is essential. Working within a 200+ studio, we are seeking a confident individual who has ideally come from a creative background and can take this exciting new role and develop a strong relationship with the Senior Management team and other members of the business.
Main responsibilities will include:
Payroll
- Manage UK Payroll - overseeing HR Coordinator's payroll admin
- Global payroll oversight responsibility; liaison with external vendors and outsourced global payroll
- Holds overall payroll implementation/statutory compliance responsibilities
- Manage and sustain relationship with outsourced payroll providers
Global Mobility
- Manage global placements/repatriations including relocation processes
- Hold vendor relationships with outsourced global tax services and global mobility providers
- Manage all UK and international visa applications/compliance
- Manage UK Sponsor License responsibilities
Planning/Strategy
- Manage/present monthly reporting dashboard to Head of People
- Input into overall strategy/budgets for annual People planning process
Employee Relations
- Disciplinary and grievance processes
- Support management on performance management/grievances
- Work with wider people team to improve employee engagement
Employment Law
- Awareness of statutory compliance issues or EL changes
- Own policy manual updates and communication
- Manage people team compliance
Benefits and Wellness
- Manage wellness initiatives and lead mental health team
- Conduct annual benefits and make recommendations
- Run pension committee, hold external pension vendor relationships
- Own external broken relationships and insurances renewals
You will have:
- Minimum 5 Years experience in a similar role, ideally within design related business but industries such as PR, Media and Marketing may be considered (creative professional services)
- Have line managed (you will have one direct report)
- Global Mobility experience is an absolute essential - your application will not be considered without this
- Payroll management experience - good knowledge of UK payroll legislation
- UK Employment Law knowledge
- A confident and personable manner, the ability to develop effective essential relationships within the business is key
