What do I need?

Joining our team, the Logistics Import Administrator will be highly organised, and enjoy multitasking. Experience is preferred, however candidates with the essential attributes will be considered to join our award-winning team. You must have:

  • Previous administration experience, preferably in Logistics
  • Knowledge of UK Logistics would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to independently prioritise workloads and tasks, whilst in a busy environment
  • Ability to adapt to and comply with internal and external business process
  • Competence in Microsoft Office products

The ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment with acute attention to detail is paramount.

What will I be doing?

Joining our UK Logistics team, the Logistics Import Administrator will be responsible for all administrational processes associated with the documentation flow on UK container imports and booking road freight transport with allocated hauliers. Working closely with internal departments, customers and 3PL service providers. Duties include:

  • Ensuring customers are in receipt of all correct and required documentation up until the final delivery point.
  • Monitoring vessel ETA’s and co-ordinating deliveries directly with the container Hauliers.
  • Maintaining container files, ensuring all relevant information is allocated and filled in order to allow correct logistics and financial costings, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Arranging and co-ordinating third party haulage as requested for collections and deliveries across the UK and Netherlands, using provided haulage companies.
  • Monitor, track and update in house systems to reflect and capture the process and changes made to container imports from end to end.
  • Working to achieve objectives set by the Head of Logistics at monthly and quarterly intervals
