Position: Procurement Analyst

Location: Based in Sidmouth, Devon - "an area of outstanding natural beauty"

Salary: £26,069 per annum

Duration: Permanent full-time

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 08.30 - 16.30

This increases by one day each year until a maximum of 34 days is reached.

The Role

The Procurement Department works to ensure that the Charity makes the best use of its resources by seeking value for money on ethical and sustainable third party spend, offering strategic advice and guidance on purchasing and supply issues, managing supply risk and providing operational support.

About You

Possessing previous experience of working within a busy analytical management role, the Procurement Analyst will support the Procurement Category Lead and Procurement Specialists in the development of category and procurement sourcing strategies and take the lead on data analysis and market research activities.

The Procurement Analyst will work alongside the Head of Procurement to develop innovative approaches to reviewing procurement process effectiveness, and with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for generating savings and efficiencies.

You will have:

  • a working knowledge and understanding of P2P processes
  • the ability to identify opportunities for reengineering business processes
  • previous experience of using workflow systems, such as finance, e-procurement, case management or data analytical systems
  • a Level 4 CIPS or a willingness to work towards the qualification or previous experience of working within a Procurement environment are desirable.
