Our client in Andover is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager with strong MRP systems knowledge to join their fast-growing business. We are seeking a candidate who has strong organisational skills, excellent communicator and is accustomed to problem solving.
Job description
- Establish processes for receiving goods, utilising equipment, managing inventory and product handling.
- Manage and develop effective warehouse layout that accounts for product flow.
- Ensure warehouse inbound and outbound planning and processing, efficient stock management and inventory control.
- Quality and quantity checks for all inbound goods as well as the making sure all the relevant paperwork is dealt with
- To ensure that goods received/dispatched are entered onto MRP system in a timely and accurate manner as well as ensure that goods received are stored in the appropriate designated location/s.
- The post holder will be responsible of all administrative duties as deemed necessary by the Goods In/Receiving function and all basic stock control requirements including stock rotation, bin maintenance, consumables, cycle counting and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Experience in operating a forklift truck.
- To ensure that high standards of housekeeping are maintained using 5S techniques.
- Implement the Company's Health and Safety policy within the warehouse area, ensuring the provision of safe working conditions and practices at all times.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Team management experience
- Experience working as a warehouse manager within a manufacturing/ production site
- Experience in MRP systems
- Excellent knowledge of the MS office package as well and data entry and processing.
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent planning, organisation and task prioritisation skills
- Experience of training and developing staff
