My client, a niche manufacturing business, is looking to appoint a Materials-Supply Chain Planner/Stock Controller for their site based in Huddersfield.  Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will join a team of 5, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing materials scheduling for volume holding stock for clients, stock levels including forecasting materials and packaging requirements against planned production. You may be required to assit with the picking and packing of items and use of the FLT's on site.

The Supply Chain Logistics function provides the main interface between the company and its supply base building and developing strong relationships and driving process improvements to meet customer demands.As the Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible for managing the stock in the ware house – forecasting stock orders from suppliers, to satisfy customer service and specified inventory and quality levels.

As such you will be the first point of contact for the resolution of issues to ensure continual flow of material into the business.

The successful candidate will have some previous experience of working within a Materials Scheduling role and ideally will have had exposure to stock control. If you have used and MRP system, this could be  a real advantage.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain, influence and develop relationships is a key requirement for this role.

You liaise both internally and externally to manage stock levels ensuring materials are available on time and in full against planned production.
