Procurement Consultant

Our client are a niche Procurement and Supply Chain consultancy, small but fast growing with offices in the UK, France and Belgium.

They are a relatively new organisation growing rapidly offering huge individual growth and learning potential as you will be exposed to a broad range of projects at some impressive clients across all business sectors

This is an opportunity to be a key player in the UK as they grow.

They deliver high value services typically by negotiating various categories, commodities, products and services for the benefit of key stakeholders and suppliers. However they provide a broad range of consulting services not just core procurement. They often build from scratch, successful international procurement structures for medium size to large international companies.

They are looking for someone with two to four years post-graduation experience in procurement or procurement consulting. You’ll be someone either looking for a move into consulting or an ambitious person wanting real development, someone who funds the pace of change or growth in your current role is not enough and want to accelerate it.

You will have good hands on experience of indirect and direct procurement and have run your own sourcing projects and engaged directly with the business. You don’t need prior consulting experience.

Whilst you will have excellent data skills you are not someone who hides behind the pivot tables on your excel spreadsheet - you will be someone who actively talks to stakeholders and engages with them and will relish winning them over and changing their opinion. You are a self-starter whether working on your own or as part of a team.

The role is based in York but there will be significant travel to client sites that are potentially anywhere in Europe and as such a 2nd language such as French would be an advantage.

They deliver real and lasting cost benefits, particularly in the most challenging and important areas of organisational spend.

They offer a genuine opportunity both to be a key player in the business as it grows and to learn and develop rapidly through having real responsibility and will learn directly from senior stakeholders and the business owners themselves.

This opportunity is challenging and will test your skills and knowledge but you will learn and develop rapidly.

Please apply directly in the first instance by sending your CV and cover letter.

You must have the right to work in the EU.

If you do not hear back from us within ten days then you have been unsuccessful.
