Occupational Therapy Operational Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join their Occupational Therapy team at one of the country's most respected providers of secure mental health services, with an 'outstanding' CQC rating for their 111 acre campus-style site. The role in question requires an Occupational Therapy Operational Manager to manage and develop their inpatient Occupational Therapy service including linking to vocational rehabilitation and their community forensic discharge team. You will be expected t o lead and supervise the inpatient Occupational Therapy team in a hospital that is the important pillar to the Trusts forensic mental health service. The service supports people who, as a result of their mental health issues, have had contact with the legal system and need a safe and secure environment that enables them to receive a wide range of treatments, therapies and care to help them recover. Recovery is at the heart of everything they do - it is about people building a meaningful life and represents a shift away from focusing on illness and symptoms towards a focus on personal health, strengths and wellness. Person Specification: You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with at least five years' experience of working within an inpatient setting. You will be able to motivate, inspire and support a team. The nature of the role demands extensive knowledge of the mental health act and other legislation and codes of practice. Experience of working within a forensic healthcare setting is desirable. A clear and confident communicator, you will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and clinical teams. You'll be confident at solving problems, and an ability to take on new approaches to care.
