Cubed Resourcing are proud to be working as a key strategic partner to Welink Homes who are at the forefront of the modular/offsite build revolution and are investing heavily to become one of the leaders and innovators in this sector.Welink Homes are launching a dedicated offsite manufacturing facility in Castleford, West Yorkshire. We are recruiting for a range of opportunities due to start early May with increases in requirements throughout 2019 as they expand their manufacturing schedule.Suitable candidates will have access to a dedicated technical induction and ongoing skills development. Must have qualities include; solid reliability, flexibility, a willingness to learn, good levels of literacy and numeracy and an ability to problem solve and work effectively in a team.The future is very bright for those that make the grade – offsite construction is fast becoming one of the preferred methods for housebuilding and public sector projects – and therefore offers secure, gainful and sustainable opportunities.We are taking applications from those who wish to understand more about the opportunity, thereafter we will be carrying out regular sessions comprising: - Introduction of Cubed and our client – sectors, products and vision. - Explanation of modular production methods and real-world applications. - Site tours and further details of roles, responsibilities and opportunities.   Candidates: In addition to having a solid work history and the ability to provide references, you will need to demonstrate a basic aptitude for building mechanical assemblies working from drawings and work instructions. We are recruiting for a number of roles in the logistics and warehousing areas to cover the following; goods-in, goods-out, stores, sub assembly and general warehousing.  Ideally candidates will have relevant experience in these areas but for some a solid work history, aptitude for learning and a can-do attitude will help get your foot in the door.  Experience in operating cranes, FLT, side loaders, hoists and other handling equipment would be advantageous. A commitment to quality work, right first-time production, output and attention to detail are important pre-requisites.  Duties: - Unloading loads in goods in department, checking received goods. - Correct storage of goods within warehouse and stores. - Sub assembly and collation of materials to feed production area. - Preparing finished goods for storage/dispatch. - Continually quality checking all work and amending where necessary. - Actively participating in improvements through the application of continuous improvement techniques and identifying, highlighting and recording any problems that arise. Pay rate: There will be a range of pay rates; typically, the entry rate will be Level 1 (Gateway/training) £8.21. In addition to this, there will be an enhancement in line with skills and capability – to Level 2 (competent operator) rising to Level 3 (multi-skilled operator). Shift premiums will also be available when introduced.Hours: Initially only days shifts will be available (times TBC) but we anticipate a choice of shifts as the operation scales up – these are likely to include; days, earlies, afternoons and nights therefore applicants will need to be flexible to meet the changes in the business.  Overtime will occasionally be required.
