National Maintenance Contractor within the Social Housing, Healthcare & Educational sectors due to recent promotion are seeking an Operational Manager to join their team. Working on various contracts - refurbishment, reactive & maintenance works Opportunity to join an award winning company. The Company My client is a national maintenance contractor, who work in the Social Housing, Healthcare & Education sectors, running both planned and reactive maintenance contracts across the country. As a result of a recent promotion, they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Operations Manager to manage the companies Preston team working on various contracts across reactive, refurbishment, refit and void/planned maintenance works. The Role - Operations Manager Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for business stream, having responsibility for managing operations to ensure that the business plan targets are being met. Having a strong commercial/business acumen is essential when working alongside the companies Business Development Manager to identify and develop new opportunities to meet sales and business-plan targets. Duties will include but not be limited to:- * Ensuring requests, reports, KPI's and monthly valuations are accurate and submitted on time. * Ensuring that contracts are completed to programme, client satisfaction is maintained, and profit margins are met. * Ensuring that sales invoices are submitted accurately and in-line with delivery costs and client deadlines. * Assisting with the production of the company's regional business plan along with the development of their specific operational plans. * Responsibility for the accurate build-up and submissions of tender/quotations. * Ensuring that adequate pre-contract planning takes place so that contracts are delivered in-line with profit requirements. * Continually monitoring contracts to ensure they are being delivered in-line with cost plans. * Submitting accurate monthly valuations built up from site progress reports to the Strategic Operations Manager. * Presenting to both external clients and at internal management meetings. * Managing the Health, Safety and Welfare on contracts, staff, clients and the general public. * Ensuring the production and distribution of compliant H&S information and plans. * Carrying out training and development reviews. * Mentoring, developing and monitoring staff. * Liaising with the HR department, direct involvement in any disciplinary or redundancy process to ensuring that the company procedures are being met/adhered too. * Responsibility to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel within each operation. * Responsibility to monitor internal H&S audits and ensuring implementation of the findings. Key Skills & Experience Required for this role :- * Previous Operational Management experience within Reactive, Refurbishment, Voids and Planned works contracts essential. * Social Housing experience vital for the role. * Experience of Schedule of Rates is beneficial but not essential. * Must be experienced MS Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook * Be able to work under pressure, to deadlines and prompt turnaround times. * Must be flexible in hours of work and travel and hold a Full UK Driving Licence More Information In return, you will benefit from a remuneration package which includes a basic salary up to £55K plus package including car allowance, healthcare, holidays and pension.
