Buyer - Doncaster - £30k-£40k + Bonus + excellent benefits Chase and Holland have a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer to join a very successful international manufacturing business based in Doncaster. As a Buyer, you will assist in the development, implementation and successful delivery of the Company's procurement strategy including: - Cost reduction; Supplier rationalisation; Supplier performance (OTIF, Quality, SLA) and other department objectives Buyer Responsibilities: * Build and maintain relationships with internal departments and external suppliers * Establish, maintain and implement purchasing records for new / existing products * New and existing supplier selection and development - including supplier assessment, audit reviews, benchmark, negotiation * Evaluate, benchmark and make sourcing and commercial recommendations, advising decisions involving e.g. supply chain risks, prices change, supply shortages * Initiate and recommend improvements in the procurement systems * Procure all products as required by the business, supporting all other areas where required * Develop product and supplier strategy - including contingency plans for product/supplier sourcing and strategic weaknesses * Any other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of this positio Key Requirements and Preferences: * Manufacturing / Technical background * MS Office including Excel (Pivot Tables and VLookups) * Commercially aware * Understanding of global supply chains * Background and experience within materials, component manufacturing * Driven and creative * Team player, proactive, energetic, able to deliver 'continuous improvement' * Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude. * Able to travel occasionally In return you'll receive: * Performance and profit related bonus schemes * 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays * Pension scheme (up to 7% employer matched contribution) * Healthcare * Death in service * Free onsite parking Hours of work - Monday to Thursday (8:30am-4:30pm) Friday (8:30am-4pm) If you are interested in finding out about this exciting Buyer opportunity, click 'apply now'.
