Pursuit Resources are currently recruiting for a Buyer for our client, a highly successful and rapidly growing company based in the Braintree area.

Core tasks and responsibilities include:

• Source, enquire and purchase from existing and new suppliers in a cost effective and timely manner
• Chase for received goods
• Checking the market place for prices
• Working closely with the site team and suppliers
• Assist with invoice queries
• Ensure current prices are kept up to date and communicated, assisting with estimating & cost control
• Maintain works orders, parts database, receipting of goods and services
• Support purchasing function with tender preparation

Personal specification and skills required:

• Must have construction/building background/ground works and Civil Engineering
• Strong market knowledge
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Good IT and systems skills including Sage 200
