Logistics Manager - Selby - £40,000 - £45,000
Chase and Holland are excited to offer a role for an experienced and methodical Logistics Manager to join an internationally successful business located in Selby. Due to continuous movement within the company our client is looking to for a knowledgeable and proactive Logistics Manager to co-ordinate and manage the logistics department.
The Logistics Manager will work closely with the Head of Logistics to liaise and converse about improvements throughout both the department and company.
Duties of the Logistics Manager will include;
* Plan, deliver and manage road storage requirements using contract knowledge and close relationships with third parties
* Maintaining the administration processes for the road haulage and storage including ordering, processing invoices, material handling and Port operations
* Negotiation of storage and road haulage costings
* Updating and maintaining internal systems to replicate stock and material levels within the business
* Forecasting from internal and external data for reliable cashflow in Finance department
* Potentially taking calls out of hours to enable the continuous smooth operation of company logistics and meeting station demands
* Weekly reporting on Port stock, reconciliation of month end stock reports and liaison with Finance
Requirements:

* A background in Supply Chain and Logistics
* A strong understanding of road haulage, port operations and storage
* Ability to work under pressure and make quick effective decisions
* Commercial judgement and good contract management
* An open minded and driven work ethic
