Macildowie are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing business in the centre of Derby who are currently looking for a reliable and dependable expeditor. Following a period of growth they are on the lookout for an experienced expeditor or junior buyer who can help support them with their transactional procurement. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a background in procurement to develop their skill set and progress into a supportive and rewarding environment.

The Role:

Based at the office in Derby you will be responsible for reviewing and processing orders in line with the forecasts, ensuring that stock levels are correct. You will also be responsible for placing orders with suppliers and ensuring that goods are received in a timely manner.


Beyond this, you will also be responsible for the order processing system, helping to suggest and implement improvements as and where appropriate to help reduce the time taken to process orders.


You will also be in close communication with both suppliers and customers, resolving issues and providing advice and support to ensure that products are delivered as per their agreed dates and manage any problems that arise.

About You:


The most important quality for the incoming candidate will be a strong, dependable approach to procurement. We're looking for an experienced expeditor, ideally within the retail sector, who can hold their own and be self-sufficient. You will need to be highly professional and capable of dealing with both customers and suppliers, so a strong sense of customer service is essential.


We're looking for someone who's got strong mathematical ability and is well versed using Microsoft Excel; being comfortable and capable of using systems well is essential. You'll also be able to deal with large quantities of data.

£14,000 - £24,000 Starting Salary Doe.
