Operations Manager – Competitive Salary (DOE) – Sutton-on-Trent, East Midlands

Marshalls is looking for a capable and experienced Operations Manager to effectively manage the provision and delivery of high quality, customer focused and profitable bus services, ensuring that the company’s business objectives, standards of customer service and operational quality are achieved. You will be involved daily in the performance and training of staff to ensure delivery of a reliable service to the highest standard.

The role demands management of the company’s resources. Ideally you should have previous experience of either managing or supervising staff, be an effective organiser and a flexible leader who can enthuse and inspire staff to deliver a great service. This is a chance to embark on a new challenge with a friendly family-based company.

The key responsibilities of an Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Organising driving rotas, ensuring that every single rota is accounted for
  • Providing on-call cover every third weekend, and driving cover where required
  • Dealing with complaints, compliments, incidents and accidents in a professional and efficient manner
  • Any other duties as reasonably required from you

The key skills and qualities of an Operations Manager:

  • Must have a PSV licence
  • A proactive individual with strong leadership skills, and can perform a wide range of roles
  • Fantastic organisational capacities, able to manage and prioritise multiple workstreams in a time-pressured and ever-changing environment
  • Outstanding leadership qualities, able to manage and motivate fellow colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills in oral and written English
