Description
The Category Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing bespoke category plans for specific retailers based on the overarching category strategy. The aim is to improve the shopping experience in relevant retailers, deliver category growth and the continued growth of the brand.
The Category Manager key responsibilities:
- Deep dive and covert data into actionable reports that identify sales and marketing opportunities for the brand and retailer customers
- Build relationships with retail accounts
- Collaborate with relevant NAMs to ensure promotional activity is appropriate for the shopper, retailer and brand to gain maximum ROI
- Provide insight that can be used for the annual brand plan
- Continuous reporting to monitor KPIs and enhance the brand performance
- Lead all relevant category management projects eg range reviews, space planning, strategic development, NPD implementation
- Lead in shopper and category insight for relevant accounts
Profile
The successful Category Manager will:
- Have proven category management experience, ideally within the FMCG industry
- Have solid knowledge of IRI, Kantar, Dunnhumby software and reporting systems
- Good knowledge of space planning software
- Be highly numerate
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Have a proactive approach
- Be commercially astute
Job Offer
Salary up to £40,000 depending on the level of experience + Bonus + Benefits
