My client is looking for a Buyer and Stock Controller who will ensure stock levels are kept at all times as well as updating computer systems with the correct information making sure this is done under strict time scales.
This position would suit someone with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and great attitude with a strong passion or previous experience working within the food industry.
Location: Slough
Salary: Up to £28,000
Hours: 35 hour working week
Key duties:
- To assist the procurement manager to procure, negotiate and mitigate supply chain costs
- To ensure cost effective continuity of supply
- Reviewing and releasing purchase orders
- Identifying any shortages and delays of purchase orders
- Analysing figures and forecasts in order to calculate order requirements
- Creating a cost effective way to dispose of slow moving goods
- Organising transported goods
- Solving queries
- Negotiating with suppliers
- Facilitating customer requirements and providing practical solutions
- Maintaining master data
Key requirements:
Essential:
- Knowledge of SAP
- Experience with stock control
- Working well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience within the food industry
- Negotiation skills
