Compliance and Contracts Manager
£50k - £60k : Milton Keynes : Technology Company
Innovative technology company seeks a Compliance and Contracts Manager to play a pivotal role within the business. This position would be ideally suited to an experienced legal professional with expertise in data protection and compliance.
This in-house legal role will see you working hand-in-glove with Senior Management to ensure the business remains safe, legal and compliant. Your remit will be broad and varied with no two days being the same.
You will provide strategic advice to the board on a range of legal issues and play a hands on role assisting the business on legal issues at all levels.
You will act as the Data Protection Officer for the business and be responsible for responding to all data incidents; providing guidance to the Senior Management, liaising with the ICO and ensuring compliance with relevant data protection legislation.
In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining ongoing compliance with a range of ISO standards, briefing Senior Management and leading the internal audit team.
You will also advise on commercial contracts and act as a key interface with external counsel .
A salary of £40,000 to £50,000 is on offer alongside an attractive benefits package. The firm's modern offices are centrally located and easily accessible.
In order to be considered for this position it is essential that you meet the following requirements:
- LLB, LLM or equivalent degree
- Working knowledge of GDPR & Data Protection Legislation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Whilst not essential the following skills are highly desirable:
- 4+ years' experience in similar role (in house or private practice)
- Commercial contracts experience
- ISO 9001 & ISO 27001 experience
