Logistics Contracts Manager

A well-established, large Main Contractor based in London, seeks an experienced Logistics Contracts Manager to work on exciting projects in and around Central London.

The Logistics Contracts Manager will join a company of 500 employees specialising in Logistics, Security and Scaffolding. The company have contributed to the successes of a number of high-profile projects including the Olympic Park and the Shard.

They pride themselves on high standards of service and provide a highly supportive environment for all of their employees.

An exciting opportunity has recently become available within the Logistics team for a Contracts Manager. This role will encompass 3 main areas, Project & Operational Management, Commercial Management and Client Management.

The Role

The Logistics Contracts Manager will join a professional and successful team working on a range of sites in the Central London area, with duties to include:

  • Planning and Organisation of all projects under the responsibility of the Contracts Manager, whilst ensuring that all necessary internal documentation is produced, distributed and actioned.
  • Planning and management of each project's resource requirements
  • Ensure that site-based Management/Supervisors are familiar with the individual specifics of each project
  • Management and monitoring of each project's financial expenditure against company budgetary targets and constraints - in conjunction with the project Surveyor.
  • Ensure that effective communication is in place internally between the client (meetings, reports and electronic media), staff and all site-based staff to maintain an efficient and good working practise
  • Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental standards are enforced and fully understood and implemented by site-based management.
  • You will be Commercially minded, with a pro-active nature. You will also need to have proven Leadership and Management skills within the Construction Industry.

The Person

The Contracts Manager will have experience as a Contracts Manager in the Construction industry. They will also have a positive working attitude.

The successful Logistics Contracts Manager will have:

  • A professional and positive approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • Contracts Management experience

It is desirable if they have:

  • NVQ Level 6
  • SMSTS black card
